Where to Look for the Cheapest Pillow Insert

If you missed yesterday's post you may not know my love for pillows. It may be pathetic, but I can tell it to you straight. Pillows are expensive right?? Or that's what everyone thinks. But they don't have to be...that's the secret. You can make your sofa come alive with the beauties of your dreams for a very affordable amount. As I mentioned yesterday you can get TONS of mouth dropping, drooling, lovely pillow covers for under $10.
I also mentioned that there were 4 not so pretty pillows that will be coming with our new sofa.
WELL, what do you do if you don't have a free pillow to recover? That's the next secret.

Well, luckily there are usually some not so pretty pillows back in the clearance section in every shape and size and are shoved in shelves just waiting to be taken home for a makeover. These are gold to you my friends. You love the people that just keep passing those ugly pillows by, because you are almost guaranteed to find amazing down pillow inserts tucked behind the ugly cover.
I went this last weekend and scored on some 20x20 fabulously shiny green, not so pretty pillows-with a lovely zipper giving me an easy in to the down inserts inside. I paid only $12 for them. Yes for those of you that haven't put it together, that makes each insert only $6. I just looked up on Amazon how much it would be for this same find- 20x20 down pillows, set of 2 came out to $36.
Anyone else up for saving $30??
