So remember that one time when I made my Christmas tags? I finally was able to use them last night when I started wrapping my gifts. If you missed the post, you can find it here and print out the free tags I designed.
I decided to start wrapping late last night when I realized that I had used up all of my brown craft wrapping paper..which really shouldn't be any surprise since I am in love with the stuff. So, I went old school and used brown paper grocery bags instead. Pretty sure you can't tell the difference from the outside anyways, and this option is FREE. So I wasn't too sad about the back up plan.
If you haven't ever used a brown paper bag here is the breakdown on how to cut it and get the most bang for your free buck.
Tear off the handles on both sides of the bag, they are only glued so they will come off easy. Don't sweat if it doesn't look pretty after, this will be on the inside of your wrapping.
Now just pick one of the top corners and start to cut down along the edge.
Once you get to the bottom you will cut along the entire bottom of the bag, this part you will just throw away.
This is what it should look like once you are done. Just throw the bottom away and use the lovely long piece of wrapping you have now created!
Now just wrap away my friends.
