So remember how I told you in my last waffle post that there are some way cool and different yummy recipes that aren't your typical waffle? Well here you go ladies and gents...Cornbread waffles a.k.a white man's Navajo taco (as my husband called it last night). Let's just say they are amazing!!! Especially when you top it off with some homemade chili. I was skeptical of everything tasting as great as it looked on Yammie's Blog when I couldn't get the idea of the cornbread waffle just being soggy with all that chili on it. BUT, I was wrong! I cooked my waffles a tiny bit more than I usually would to get it a little crispy and with they chili they were perfect! The waffle a little sweet and the chili nice and savory, the combination was SO good. Have you got the point yet that these are really really good??? I wish I would have taken pictures but I was a slacker last night to be honest folks. Sometimes that happens when you are 6 months pregnant and had worked an 8 hour day...right? Or maybe that's just me.
Luckily, you have the wonderful recipe for both the homemade cornbread waffle and homemade chili on the wonderful Yammie's Noshery. This is a must try people.
