Just the beginning of the nursery decor

So graduating with my degree in Interior Design and in the purchase of buying a home AND having a baby on the way....my creative brain juices are flowing and I am ready to get shopping and decorating!! Although, our budget is small at the time...so I am having to come up with some clever ways to save some money.
I decided one way is I am going to attempt to create all of my own art for my house. Starting with the nursery. I came across a darling geometric abstract fox on pinterest..although I loved it the colors were all wrong for my planned out color theme. SO I decided to recreate the image on my own in Illustrator and this is what I came up with!

I was having fun so I decided to continue on in making a couple more simple prints for around the soon to be house.

Again, made in Illustrator.

Last, but not least...a special doodle I made for baby Grey

I honestly cannot wait for him to get here.

  1. Kelsie! I am glad you posted a link on facebook--I didn't know you had this blog! Also--when I make things on photoshop I have to find a specific button that is a "save for web" when saving otherwise my white backgrounds turn grey as well--I would guess it is the same with Illustrator. I am so happy for you--buying a house and having a baby! Such exciting times. These are all darling!

    1. Whit! Yes...I do have a blog I am just TERRIBLE at using it. Ha. But I decided I really want to make a valiant effort :) So hopefully it will stay up to date! Thank you on the tip for the "save for web" I tried it and it actually still didn't work :( BUT I figured out if I exported it as a png it worked. Ha. I sure hope things are going well with you!! I have no idea what you and Ben are up to these days...you have a blog right?? I need to follow it.

  2. Kels! These are so fun! I WISH WISH WISH I could design stuff like this too---recently I've been telling Kyle that I have no idea how people do this-and then you do it :) It's so cute. I can't wait to see the final product!

    1. Ken! Thanks you are so sweet. It has been a lot of fun making them. I can only make them because I have Illustrator which is AMAZING. Ha. If you ever want me to make you something let me know, I'd be more than happy too! :)
